All payments made to Afri-Co-Lab are non-refundable.

Missed sessions will not be rolled over onto the next course

Janice Kate Fisher will teach most classes on the timetable but cover teachers may teach some scheduled classes, no refunds are available for teacher changes.

In rare circumstances, we may have to change the class timetable, remove and or add classes at a short notice.

If we have to change our class timetable or remove a class, confirmed participants will be rescheduled onto an alternative session or be offered a refund if no sessions are available (this will be at a calculated at a pro-rata basis if part of a class bundle or course)

All classes will be held in Afri-Co-Lab unless otherwise specified.

Classes are limited to a maximum of eight participants.

Mondays

If you wish to change your booking you must let us know at least 48 hours before the class, requests made after this may not be transferred.

We understand that sometimes you may not be able to give advance notice, eg illness. For these circumstances, we will accept a late change to your booking. However, this can only be done twice within a two-month period. After this, your class will not be transferrable or refunded.

Darragh O'Leary will teach most classes on the timetable but cover teachers may teach some scheduled classes, no refunds are available for teacher changes.

WHO CAN ATTEND

Breathe | Play | Laugh is for Global Majority folks.
-
​Global majority refers to people who are NOT white British or other white-identifying groups and who are often racialized as "ethnic minorities." It can include people who are Black, African, Asian, Brown, dual-heritage, indigenous to the Global South, and mixed. Together, these groups make up around 80–85% of the world's population.
CANCELLATIONS BY PARTICIPANTS

Cancellation Requests: If you need to cancel your registration for the event, please notify us in writing at info.africolab.uk@gmail.com with your name and reason for cancellation by midnight on 28th January 2025.

Late Cancellation/No-shows: If you cancel after this date or are a no-show, you will be asked to pay a deposit to attend any future free-ticketed Afri-Co-Lab events with limited spaces.

This event is valued at £170 per person. Donations from our Funders Necessity and Arts Council England, Lottery Community Fund, and our partner organisations De La Warr Pavilion, plus ourselves (Afri-Co-Lab), have enabled us to provide this opportunity to you for FREE.

As spaces are limited, we expect you to attend once your spot is confirmed.

TRANSFER OF TICKETS

Breathe Play Laugh is a curated event designed to meet the needs of everybody who attends. It's important for us to know who is attending so we can make sure everybody feels included and welcomed.

CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT BY THE ORGANISERS

Event Cancellation Policy: In the unlikely event that Breathe Play Laugh is cancelled by Afri-Co-Lab or the venue, we will contact you as soon as possible.
-
We will make every effort to reschedule the event. If we are unable to rearrange Breathe Play Laugh, you will be given priority for a spot at the next Breathe Play Laugh event.​

The Last Thursday of the month
7 pm - 9 pm

Artist Elaine Mullings will facilitate collage & Chill; there may be sessions where Elaine is unable to attend and cover facilitators will lead the session instead; no refunds are available for facilitator changes.

Dorcas Magbadelo, Khadija Khan and Lillian Babirye will Lead the session, but cover facilitators may be sort if Dorcas, Lilly and Khadija are not able to lead, no refunds are available for facilitator changes.
