I am a multi-disciplinary artist who directs, performs, collaborates and initiates projects across theatre, social practice, fiction, documentary, screen, visual arts and fashion. My work is mainly focused on the narratives of Black women within the African Diaspora and how that intersects with joy. I often co-direct and co-create projects. I co-founded and run AfroRetro & Afri-Co-Lab creative with my sister Lilly. We have been commissioned by Black Cultural Archives, Royal Court, V&A, Southbank Centre, De La Warr, Brighton Museum and Yinka Shonibare’s Guest Projects to create happenings, projects, workshops and installations. My acting credits include BBC1, BBC2, E4, Film4, The National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe & The Almeida. I have taught and directed for YALE School of Drama, National Theater Institute, Carnegie Mellon (USA), LAMDA, Mountview Academy, London Philharmonic Orchestra (UK).
