GET
lIT!
GET LIT! is our monthly literary offer building on the legacy of our fabulous author talks with @WhatSarahReadNext.
GET LIT! is as wild and multi-faceted as we are - think author talks with a workshop twist, poetry readings, creative writing sessions, speaking Shakespeare workshops we are going to explore literature in all its forms.
These events are created for everyone, we want them to be inclusive, participatory and fun!
In this workshop we'll explore the sea and other natural spaces as entries into memory and intimacy.
What freedoms or restrictions does the outdoors present for us? Using poems by Derrick Austin, Seán Hewitt, and others, we’ll unpick the potential for connection, introspection and discovery in nature. How might we engage with ourselves and each other differently, following the natural world's example?
We’ll write our own poems to begin the search. Remi will also share their own writing and open up a Q&A session for the last 30 mins of the workshop.

No prior experience or knowledge of poetry or writing is necessary.
