EPIC SHOW COMING YOUR WAY!

The Hero's Journey is an epic tale full of surprises, twists and turns with a large dash of local seasoning!  This is the point in the show description, where I tell you all about the story, to excite you to buy a ticket. But I can’t, because the story is yet to be written. We’re throwing caution to the wind and building this epic adventure story over 14 weeks with local artists, community performers and professional creatives. Hastings Museum and Art Gallery is our stage and you'll experience this story on the move whilst wearing headphones. Like all good adventures we don’t know where we will end up or who will be the hero - but we have some amazing friends coming along for the ride. It's sure to be epic, joyous and heartfelt - are you game?!

Friday 14th June 8:30 pm
Saturday 15th June 5.30 pm & 8:30 pm

Developing Your Creative Practice grant SUPPORT

Afri-Co-Lab is teaming up with local Global Majority, ally-artists and activists to host an advice and information session with John McPherson from Arts Council England, looking at all things Developing Your Creative Practice grant.

In this one-off session, John will talk about the grant, what it's for and who it's for. Demystify language around the application, talk through strong application examples and answer all grant-related questions. Local artist, educator and neurodiversity advocate, Becky Beasley will speak and answer questions about her successful DYCP Award in 2022 and how she did it with the help of the excellent and easy to access Arts Council Access Support.

Find out if this grant is for you HERE

There will also be an opportunity to speak to folks who have previously been awarded the grant who are happy to share their experiences.

If you have already received a grant or are confident in your application please think about giving space to those that may need this session more.  We strongly encourage folks from the Global Majority, lower social economic backgrounds, working class and other marginalised groups to book a spot.
